Ori

hm top
weekday pants
miista ‘ori’ shoes

I decided to extend my city getaway with a few days, which means I’m running out of things to wear but then again the plan was never to spend that much time dressed here in Finland anyway. So here we have yesterday's, I even forgot my jewellery box home which sometimes can be quite a good thing.

Shoe-wise I’m back to clogs, giving my toes a break form the sweezy pointy. Not sure how long the break will last, but I’m sure loving my new cut-out Miistas, that also is out in a beautiful off-white.

Back to a better feeling

After spending the day in the city, me and my sister stopped by some seaside streets to snap these. Helsinki has been sunny, beautiful and quite brilliantly mad lately as we host the ice hockey world championships this year. I wore basics including a beautiful ice cream colored knit from Muriée that worked as a kind reminder to never underestimate the comfort of cashmere. In this case even organic cashmere, so good for more than just my being.

Today I wore my new game t-shirt with some much loved basics. My 31 hour bag continues to be a favorite and the fact that it transforms to an akward sized clutch is just a huge plus. On another note.. I'm so tired with my hair, it's in awful condition and I'm hereby asking for permission to change it? nothing way too drastic but I'm desparate for something new, you will see what I have planned within the next few days...

Hellooo!!! It’s been both the longest and shortest (?) few months but I am now done with my studies, and so happy about that. A few days of recovery will now follow, but I will surely keep you guys updated on new things.

My sister took these pics a few months ago, it’s about time you properly get to see Janne who usually is the one behind the camera. Every now and then he agrees to match outfits with me.

I missed you all, so nice to be back xxx

Aldo rise

courtesy of aldo

I’m all for high-street powerhouses teaming up with designers and when it comes to collaborations with up-and-coming, fascinating future talents - even better. And to add a bit more emotion from my part to the mix, we are taking shoes. I applaud Aldo for creating Aldo Rise - a collaboration with a selection of skilled young designers. The collections have been in stores for a few months now so it’s about time I talk you through my favorite picks!

Right now there are four designers collections for sale at Aldo stores worldwide and on Asos. Introducing my favorites.

gina tricot jeans
marni x hm hat
snö bracelet

Pajama striped pointy pumps by J.W Anderson! Please note the amazingly weird ‘rubber fur’. I think after seeing Mr. Anderson's full ss12 collection, pieces fell in to place nicely. There is a sandal version as well that made my decision very hard, but what can I say.. I love pajamas and so does J.W.

preen ‘giffee’ shoes
minimarket dress
lapponia ring

Then there is the printed Preen ones, I could not even dream of having a digital print placed so beautifully on a leather shoe without looking the tiniest bit tacky. Not exactly a shoe you would expect to see on the high-street but then again none of these really are. These have been going ME ME ME lately when I’ve been deciding shoes for my all white outfits. I listen and obey, you should know by now that my shoes are my best friends.

libertine ‘allor’ wedges
zara shirt
alexander wang pants
marni x hm hat

Third pick was the Libertine wedges. A. because I was almost getting uncomfortable with the low-ish heels in the previous ones and B. I still can’t say no to a wedge. A wedge with graphic graffiti-like paint-splatters in it? Long time blog readers already know how I feel about things painted white, ad on a high heel to that and I am a very happy blogger.

dolci follie mask

And last but certainly not least we have the boys favorite, sexy high pumps by Mark Fast. Probably extra sexy when worn with a bandage dress and mask which is what I did last week, but more about my fetish behavior later. The black shoes with cut-outs reminds me of stockings and are a lot less dramatic in the adorable mint, lilac and beige color that they also come in.

So do you agree with my picks? I would probably say no as I’m quite keen to move on to try every other style in the collections as well. Congratulations Aldo, keep this up and I think we can become were good friends and if you read this text until here you would know that I listen very closely to my friends.

Spring styling with Nelly

photos by Tobias Guldstrand

So as you know I flew to Nelly's HQ in Sweden last week to work on my collection, but we also did a bit of styling on a few spring looks! I got first dibs on the brand new Nowhere collection that dropped yesterday, I think a favorite might have been the knit jacket that I can't decide whether to get in white or grey... Hope you like it! Shop the looks below.

Look I: Men's Filippa K shirt, J. Lindeberg skirt, Rosie & Roses necklace, DKNY watch, Nowhere shoes

Look II: Nowhere jacket, Hunky Dory t-shirt, Nowhere skirt, Nelly white shoes

Look III: Carin Wester blazer, Nowhere t-shirt, Stylein pants, Triwa watch, Buddha to buddha bracelet, Nelly shoes

Look IV: Stylein dress, Adidas jacket, Nelly shoes, Buddha to buddha bracelet

Cherry leather

Not only because of the beautiful designs or endorphins the smell of leather gives me, I've fallen in love with London based leather brand Muubaa. My newest wardrobe acquisition is this amazing jacket in distressed cherry leather, do I need to say more?

Hi again. I decided to go for a surprise visit home to Finland! Last night I attended such a great party, the tripe x Vitaminwater launch party with the theme: xxx, obviously. More about that soon! Here pictured running errands in a slight hangover, totally worth it all.

best regards, a happy new bag owner......

We drove through Chelsea the other day and saw a street full of magnolia trees in full bloom! I felt slightly obligated for a few photos, such a blogger that I am. I had to what's app my mom a picture of the flowers as I NEED these in my garden! Clearly I'm still getting used to living in a country where magnolias and palm trees have a chance of surviving winter.

Pink

gudrun gudrun cardigan
moroccan belt
gina tricot jeans

Gudrun og Gudrun was one of the brands I recently discovered at Urban outfitters. It seems like every time I go back to the store, they have a whole bunch of new brands to get excited about. And here I thought I was on top of what goes on on the high-street... I picked up the other pink knit at the same time, which is actually the same one I wore in blue here. Proven again that joy often comes in the most simplest forms.

Smurf

When I decided to go for the blue beanie from the wide choices of colours Acne had on their site, I did not realise how smurfish it would end up looking... Oh well, I kinda love it though.

Company blogger awards

aqua jumpsuit
acne cuffs

What I wore to the blogger awards. I was planning to keeping it quite casual in a simple jumpsuit, until I heard that Lady Gaga wore the same Aqua piece while performing a while ago! Definitely made me feel a bit more festive.

So the Marni collection came and vanished at h&m and to be frankly honest... I quite liked it. I dipped into the crazy crowd sometime around noon, because fighting for the clothes and seeing how nuts everyone gets is half the fun, plus a win is always more satisfying than a regular purchase.

Dressing up with Topshop

pictures by Stefanie

Topshop asked me to pick and style my favorite dress from their 'Dress up' range and so I did! I had much fun shooting in our old house back home.. so how about those platform kicks? I found a way as a heel-lover to wear sneakes! Apart from the dress, that I'm truly quite in love with, I wore...

Topshop Mesh Insert Bodycon Dress
look 1 - Margiela fur, Reed Krakoff heels, Kurt Geiger and Margiela bracelets
look 2 - Beam of Jack jacket, ebay platform sneakes
look 3 - H&M blazer, Nowhere heels

The little interview I did is now live on their site, thank you Topshop!
